We would like to welcome you to our holiday home Maelderie 29 located in a quiet side road in the village of Vivenkapelle, part of Damme, just a few kilometers from the heart of Bruges and Knokke.

The charming house - with its own parking facilities (6-8 cars) - is suitable for families up to 16 people.

In addition to cozy indoor spaces, the house also has a large indoor swimming pool with adjoining sitting area that make your stay even more enjoyable. It is also pleasant to stay on the sun-drenched terraces with a view of the wide garden with playground.

With several hiking trails and cycling routes nearby, the Maelderie 29 is also an ideal base to discover the region! In no time you are in the heart of Damme or you are on your way to cycling to Bruges via the Damse Vaart. Knokke is also only 20 minutes away.

Holiday home Maelderie29 is located in a quiet side road in the village of Vivenkapelle, part of Damme.

Through an entrance gate you enter the private driveway where there is room for 6 to 8 cars.

The house is made up of 2 parts.

On the one hand, the authentic miller's house has recently been renovated while preserving the valuable materials. In this part of the house are the living areas (lounge, dining area, TV front room, kitchen with dining area) as well as 5 bedrooms (suitable for up to 10 people).

On the ground floor is bedroom 1 (double bed) with ensuite bathroom with rain shower. On the first floor there are also 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed. On this floor there is a bathroom with double sink and walk-in shower, a separate shower room and a separate toilet. 3 of the 4 bedrooms also have a sink in the room.

In addition to the original house, there is connected by a glass walkway a recent outbuilding where there is a relaxation area with indoor swimming pool and associated sanitary facilities on the ground floor and also a cozy sitting area with fireplace on the garden side. On the floor of this annex is a large sleeping loft suitable for up to 6 people (1 double and 4 single beds). This sleeping loft also has a bathroom with sink and toilet (shower facilities are available in the bathroom on the ground floor by the pool). Between the two buildings is a cozy terrace with BBQ facilities. The house also has a very spacious garden with play areas for the children as well as a sheep meadow at the back with our own small flock. In the barn there is room for bicycles.

  • Period 1: periods except those specified below
  • Period 2: from start Easter holidays to the end of June as well as the month of September
  • Period 3: July & August - During the summer months the house is rented per week or several weeks.
  • For extended weekends and Christmas period price upon request

 

General rental conditions holiday home

Reservation policy

After your reservation enquiry we will send you a property rental contract. In order to confirm your booking, we ask you to sign the document and return it to us within 7 days. You will also need to pay a 50% deposit via bank transfer. As soon as we have received your signed contract and payment, the reservation will be confirmed. 60 days prior to arrival, the balance needs to be paid in full.

A deposit of €500 also needs to be paid via banktransfer prior to arrival; This deposit will be repaid within 14 days of departure, once inspection of the cottage and the inventory has taken place. If damages occur, the deposit will be accordingly reduced by the cost for repairing the damages or make up for the loss. In the unlikely event that the amount of the damage exceeds the amount of the deposit, an estimate will be made for your insurer. 

Cancellation Terms

The tenant can terminate the contract in whole or in part at any time. Any cancellation must be communicated in writing to the landlord. The tenant will compensate the landlord for any damage incurred as a result of the cancellation.

The compensation is determined as follows:

  • For cancellations more than 90 days before check-in, 50% of the rental price deposit will be refunded minus an administrative fee of €100.
  • For cancellations between 90 and 30 days before check-in, the deposit will not be refunded, and 50% of the rental amount will be retained.
  • For cancellations less than 30 days before check-in, no refund will be given, and the full rental amount will be retained (full rental amount = deposit paid at reservation as well as the balance that must be paid 30 days before check-in).


The tenant is responsible for any cancellation insurance themselves.

If the tenant does not use the holiday home or leaves it before the end of the rental period, no refund will be given.
